For the man who wants to build a life that makes a difference, we provide a restful place to refuel and return motivated and inspired to do life better.
Old Space-New Purpose
For 40 years this building was home to a church in the small rural town of Dora Lake, Minnesota. We are re-purposing this place as the Legacy Lodge to be used for:
Personal respite
Private generational use (i.e. Grandparent, Father & sons)
Leadership team planning
Dad/kids camps
Couples or Families retreats
Youth mentoring camps
Volunteer project weekends for youth or adults
If you need a restful space to refuel yourself or refuel a small team to keep a sharp edge when you return back home, then contact us to learn more or schedule a visit. We have 8 XL Twin beds and plenty of room on site for campers.

The Project…
The board of directors along with the volunteer men of The Legacy Project continue to dream about what this place will look like. Here is a concept sketch for inspiration. While specific plans continue to evolve our intent is to create a comfortable, simple, masculine and rustic place where men can truly relax in their own skin. A man doesn't need to hunt or fish to appreciate the mystique of the Chippewa National Forest. We are a work in progress but The Legacy Lodge has already become that destination place for men to relax.
1/29-31/16 First looks at the new fireplace.
17' tall fireplace is 12' wide at the base. Real stone and real big! The 10' oak barn beam was donated and harvested for the mantel from a family farm. Wood storage on both sides. Enough for a weekend of story telling. Come and see it!
